bac hosts record-breaking fundraiser
sold out spring gala raises over $415,000

The Boston Architectural College welcomed over 500 guests from the architecture, design, and allied professions for the built environment to its largest fundraiser ever, the third annual Spring Gala, on April 6, 2017, at the Seaport District’s Innovation and Design Building. The event raised a record-breaking $415,000 for the College. In its third year, the Spring Gala continues to grow, with more guests than ever, as well as attract significant partnerships and sponsorships from Boston businesses.

Taniya Nayak, BAC alumna and Spring Gala co-chair, reflected, “I am so forever grateful for the opportunities that have been presented to me through the BAC—it has opened up doors to my career, to my life, that I never could have dreamt of. I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to support the BAC and this event.”

Featuring restaurant and bar tasting tables from local proprietors, including Fuji at West of Chestnut, Antique Taqueria, Buttermilk & Bourbon, Lion’s Tail Boston, Legal Sea Foods, and Saloniki Greek, the Spring Gala proves once again that it is not your average Boston gala.

Each year, the Spring Gala looks for new ways to showcase the talents of BAC students. This year, students worked in groups with each proprietor to create custom, one-of-a-kind signs to display at their tasting stations during the event. Inspiring and full of personality, each sign was a perfect complement to its accompanying restaurant.

While enjoying delicious food and craft cocktails, guests bid at the silent auction, which raised over $18,000 and featured fine artwork by local artists and members of the BAC community along with exclusive dining experiences.

Thank you to all of our generous sponsors, restaurant partners, our media partner Design New England, our décor partner PBD Events, and everyone who attended and participated at the Spring Gala. We could not have made the Spring Gala a success without you and hope to see everyone next spring!
